Philippine Immigration Departure Card |
First time flying abroad? You might be worrying to get offloaded? same as me when I flew out of the the Philippines for the first time I am very worry and scared to be offloaded the fact that I don't have occupation or formal job. On this post I am going to share you my experience and tips on my first time passing through Philippines Immigration Officer.
Filipinos has a right to travel for Pleasure/Vacation but Philippine Immigration Officer can put you on offload if they questions you and you answer suspicious answered. My very 1st tip is do not lie to the Immigration Officer. Just answer all the questions truthfully from the bottom of your heart and relax. Before you can have your holiday abroad there are at least requirements for you to be on board.
Philippine Immigration Airport Requirements:
- Valid Passport with at least 6 months validity
- Round trip ticket
- Visa if applicable
- Departure Card
Questions to fill out for Philippine Departure Card:
- Passport number
- Last name
- First name
- Middle name
- Date of Birth
- Nationality
- Gender
- Address Abroad
- Address in the Philippines
- Contact No. and Email
- Airline ticket No.
- Occupation
- Personal I.D. No.
- Flight No.
- Port of Destination
- ACR I-Card No.
- Primary purpose of travel
- Signature
- Date of Departure
I was very scared to be offloaded on my flight because I don't have an occupation or formal job during my 1st ever flying to abroad, as a Digital Creator on my flight to Indonesia my main source of income is my YouTube earnings, you can see on the picture above I wrote YOUTUBER as my occupation.
My flight is 03:45 AM from Manila to Bali (Denpasar) I am already in NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila) around 01:00 AM and at Immigration Officer I am the only one there, I hand over my valid passport, round trip ticket, travel tax, departure card and I also included my hotel booking to the officer. The officer ask me First question:
officer: what is the purpose of your travel to Indonesia?
me: a holiday Trip.
officer: who's with you?
me: I am a solo traveler.
officer: are you sure you're traveling alone, who's going to take pictures for you?
me: I already booked someone a guide there.
officer: do you have itinerary plan?
me: yes I have, I show to officer my itinerary plan.
officer: who made your itinerary?
me: I made it by my self, as a DIY.
officer: ok your good! stamped! my passport.

Departure Stamp at NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila) |
It was relief and excitement when the officer stamped my passport okay for departure, all my nervous was wipe out that time. what I am very worried is about my occupation but the officer did not question me about my occupation, but on my second holiday trip going to Taipei Taiwan I wrote YOUTUBER as my occupation the Immigration Officer ask me some questions about my YouTube career but then the officer let me on board my flight.
What I can say on my experience is every Immigration Officer will ask you a different questions, like what I said answer them truthfully and do not lie to them, it's there job to questions every traveler, it's also for our protections for them to make sure that we are safe to travel aboard. Other Tip is it's better to prepare all the documents that you think might the officer will ask you like a return ticker, hotel voucher, itinerary plan, company I.D. etc..
My 1st ever holiday abroad to Bali Indonesia was great and fantastic after that I feel like I want to travel more and more in the future.
I hope this post help you, please share your experience by putting a comment, you can also put your questions on the comment sections.
